Here's a presentation on an integrated, tech-infused mini culminating unit for grade 5 social studies. This presentation is designed to provide an overview of the unit for educators to adapt use in their classroom.
This is absolutely fantastic Cam! You could certainly use a mini-unit like this, even as a guest/supply teacher. Storybird is one of my favourite tools. I started using it almost 7 years ago! I also get a sense that you are connected some of what we learned in Social Studies this year. Thanks for sharing this unit, I would imagine that others could benefit from it! -Zoe
